The main expected results from LEX-IS are as follows:
 
  The LEX-IS network
consisting of the members of the LEX-IS consortium (Parliaments, Universities, IT Companies) including also key players outside the consortium (NGOs, collective and representative bodies)
 
  The LEX-IS Legislative Process Workflow Model
    This will involve the modelling of the exact process followed during the preparatory legislative phases (legislation preparation, debate, draft legislation formation), with the use of workflow management technologies
 
  The LEX-IS Ontology for Legal Framework Modelling
    This will involve the modelling and representation of legal elements (directives, laws, decrees) so as to assist argument visualization and legal impact for the public. Ontologies and metadata schemas will be developed for the semantic annotation of legal elements, so that all involved parties can easily locate the necessary information with the use of internet-based retrieval tools
 
The LEX-IS Platform
Comprising of the Legal Metadata Subsystems, the Content Management Subsystem, the Legislative Process Subsystem and the Argumentation Support Subsystem
  Addressed to: (a) the Members of the Parliaments (MPs) and other operational staff of the Parliaments, (b) Citizens, with a specific orientation towards the participation of teenagers, (c) Businesses, (d) Non-governmental organisations and collective/representation bodies and (e) independent legal experts and public servants taking part in law formulation
 
  The LEX-IS pilots
  The LEX-IS trials will be executed within the operational framework and with selected, real processes of the following European institutions:
  The Austrian Parliament, having a specific programme supporting e-Participation of younger citizens.
The Lithuanian Parliament, active within local e-participation initiatives, under the cooperation with the Technical University of Kaunas
  The Hellenic Parliament active within national e-participation initiatives.
In addition to the above the Model European Parliament (MEP), an organisation that drives the "European Parliament of the Youth" in 25 European Countries, with the active participation of more than 1,000 students every year that follow the processes and real issues of the European Parliament, have confirmed their interest to the project and they will closely follow project evolutions with main involvement their participation to the Evaluation activities
